Role Overview

This position is essential for overseeing product quality within the designated product line.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Identify quality-related issues and propose effective solutions.
  2. Collaborate with Product Engineering, Project/Product Management, and Customers to resolve quality challenges.
  3. Act as a Quality Team Member, providing recommendations for supplier evaluations, training, and corrective actions.
  4. Coordinate with Engineering and Welding Engineering to meet Supplier Material and Welding Qualifications requirements.
  5. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective measures for recurring supplier issues.
  6. Manage Corrective Action Requests (CARs) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), investigating process or system problems, assessing root causes, and recommending corrective actions.
  7. Lead and participate in internal and external audits of Quality Systems.
  8. Engage with various functions on quality-related matters and training initiatives.
  9. Develop statistical sampling plans for inspecting supplier components during receiving inspections.
  10. Receive guidance from management to establish broad objectives.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
  • 8-10 years of experience in the Quality Assurance domain, particularly in supplier or procurement quality or engineering.
  • Preferred certifications include Black Belt and/or Six Sigma.
  • ASQ Certification in Quality Engineering is advantageous.
  • Strong skills in statistical data analysis and sampling plans.
  • Experience with Material Review Board (MRB) processes.
  • Familiarity with Root Cause and Corrective Action methodologies and FMEA.
  • Knowledge of inspection tools and measurement/calibration systems.
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 and API Q1 standards.
  • Ability to interpret customer requirements effectively.
