Role Overview

We are seeking experienced Verification Engineers and Senior Verification Engineers to become part of our Energy Transition and consultancy division.

Verification is central to our operations, providing assurance for clients' safety cases through comprehensive assessments across the UK, EU, and beyond. Our adept team also extends support in various growing services for the global energy sector, including hazardous materials management, internal audit programs, and supply chain audit services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct ongoing assessments and evaluations for installations such as FPSOs, platforms, semi-submersibles, subsea, and onshore terminals.
  • Perform surveys, examinations, maintenance reviews, and technical audits onshore and offshore in accordance with Performance Standards and International Standards or Client Specifications.
  • Generate clear and detailed technical reports adhering to Bureau Veritas reporting guidelines.
  • Ensure the technical quality of personal deliverables during Verification services, both written and verbal.
  • Implement Verification Schemes in compliance with UK legislation.
  • Maintain personal competency and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) records.
  • Depending on role level, act as the primary contact for clients.
  • Depending on role level, lead a team of engineers for client projects.
  • Depending on role level, manage budgets and progress reporting.
  • Provide independent Verification services to International Clients as required, ensuring compliance with national and international codes and standards.
  • Take ownership of actions to support the company in achieving health & safety and environmental objectives.
  • Engage in various quantitative and qualitative data verification tasks.
  • Actively contribute to sustainability report assurance and data verification projects.
  • Conduct primary and in-depth research as necessary.
  • Foster client interactions and relationship building as part of project execution.
  • Manage personal resources and time effectively, with guidance from the line manager.
  • Participate in site visits to client locations as needed.
  • Provide administrative support to the team as required.
  • Stay informed about current developments in sustainability.
  • Promote a culture of safety, environmental awareness, and high-quality standards.

Candidate Profile:

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Proven engineering experience in Verification, surveying, QA/QC, inspection, or maintenance roles.
  • Strong understanding of construction, commissioning, or operation of Offshore Installations is advantageous.
  • For Pressure Equipment roles, compliance with UKAS RG2 Qualification Category 2 Requirements or equivalent is necessary.
  • Familiarity with UK Safety Case Legislation and its implementation is beneficial.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels to address issues and resolve challenges.
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects and clients with diverse technical challenges.
  • Offshore experience is required.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK, offshore, and internationally to meet client needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • HNC / HND / Degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent industry qualification to fulfill the functions of an independent and competent person as per Safety Case Regulations.
  • Membership in a recognized Professional Institution or Engineering Council is preferred.
