Wood is seeking candidates for future Quality Assurance Lead positions. Please note that this is not an active job opening.

Job Objective:
  • Oversees or assists in the implementation of quality standards, systems, and metrics, ensuring adherence to the quality management framework across various projects. The focus is on enhancing operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and minimizing risks and rework while aligning with quality policies and achieving set goals.
  • Ensures alignment with the Wood Business Management System and maintains compliance through a structured assurance framework.
  • Facilitates measures that promote predictable outcomes and continuous enhancement by utilizing performance metrics to inform data-driven decisions. Engages with project leaders to provide insights and data for proactive interventions.
  • This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, typically applied within a single project or program, where the individual may lead a small quality team or support a Quality Manager on larger, more complex initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assists in managing all facets of quality across their designated organization and the services rendered.
  • Identifies and regularly interacts with key stakeholders to advocate for quality management and collect performance feedback.
  • Supports effective resource planning and allocation (including personnel and budgets) to facilitate the achievement of agreed objectives and deliverables.
  • Implements the Wood Business Management System (BMS) within their organization, ensuring its effective application and that compliance is routinely monitored, evaluated, and improved as necessary.
  • Facilitates external BMS certification as needed.
  • Ensures consistent and effective application of quality support systems across their organization (e.g., Non-Conformance Reports, Progressive Learning, and Customer Satisfaction systems).
  • Assists in tendering and proposal efforts for their organization.
  • Plans and executes risk-based assurance strategies, including escalating significant findings to project leaders.
  • Monitors and analyzes delivery performance data, regularly reporting trends and themes to senior management and undertaking interventions as required.
  • Collects and acts on customer feedback, ensuring that actions are taken to sustain and enhance customer satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:
  • Degree/diploma or equivalent in Quality Management, Project Management, or a related field (essential).
  • Lead Auditor certification from a recognized industry body (essential).
  • Membership in CQI/ASQ Quality organizations, Project Management Institute, or equivalent (desirable).
  • Formal training in recognized root cause analysis methodologies (essential).
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
  • Relevant experience (preferably in a related industry).
  • Comprehensive understanding of industry standards (ISO 9001, ISO 19011, and associated Wood Standards).
  • Proficient in process and data analysis.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication skills in both written and verbal formats.
  • Skilled in the use of continuous improvement tools and techniques.
