Job Summary

Expro is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team. As a Dimensional Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of supplier-manufactured equipment and components, as well as associated quality records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections on new manufactured, repaired, and modified components and equipment throughout their life cycle using various inspection tooling.
  • Produce detailed reports, including marked-up manufacturing drawings, highlighting all findings for engineering review.
  • Discuss inspection findings with responsible parties, including the engineering department, workshop, and vendors.
  • Raise non-conformance reports and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Read and understand Bills of Materials (BOM), engineering drawings, and design specifications.
  • Work in accordance with local Goods Inwards Quality Procedures.
  • Maintain and ensure all measuring equipment is safe, clean, and within calibration.
  • Support and perform Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) on repaired/modified components as required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a workshop or machine shop inspection role.
  • Excellent display of quality control techniques.
  • Excellent knowledge of handheld measuring equipment, including internal/external micrometers, Bower gauges, vernier calipers, and depth gauges.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
  • Previous experience with portable coordinate measuring machines and associated software, such as FARO, CMM, ROAMER, ABERLINK, and SMART INSPECT.
  • SNT L2 experience preferred, but basic working knowledge of NDE techniques and their applications within the industry is required.
  • IT literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, TrueView, CAD, or equivalent.
