We are seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to join our Transformation Unit as a Medical Engineering Technical Administrator. This role will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Medical Engineering Department and the Equipment Library.
Main Responsibilities- Administrative Support: Provide clerical and administrative functions to the Medical Engineering Department and the Equipment Library, including logging and tracking equipment maintenance, Equipment Library requests and issues, raising requisitions, placing and receiving orders, and technical component stock control.
- Technical Support: Provide first-line technical support mechanisms, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to medical equipment.
- Contract and Invoice Management: Negotiate contracts and invoices with suppliers, Primary Care Trusts, and other NHS organizations.
- Equipment Management: Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of medical equipment, including its application, purpose, and location.
- Qualifications: Possess a NVQ level 3 qualification in customer service or equivalent experience in the maintenance of highly complex medical equipment.
- Experience: Excellent clerical and administration skills, with previous experience working in an acute healthcare environment.
- Knowledge: Excellent understanding of medical devices, good financial administration skills, and knowledge of MHRA guidance documents relating to medical devices.
