Job Summary

The University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiology Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our Paediatric Imaging Service, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of a high-quality service that provides optimal clinical results.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical expertise in paediatric imaging, utilizing a variety of radiography equipment to produce high-quality images.
  • Develop and maintain excellent knowledge of paediatric pathology and clinical presentation to ensure accurate imaging examinations.
  • Liaise with Paediatric Consultant Radiologists and Advanced Practitioners to ensure seamless clinical input.
  • Ensure a safe working environment and adherence to relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Effectively utilize hospital software to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Participate in the 24/7 rota, working core hours at the Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital and additional shifts at the Royal Sussex County Hospital.
  • Communicate effectively with children and young people with varying needs and at different stages of development.
  • Promote a patient-focused service, minimizing stress and radiation dose.
  • Support rotational radiographers and junior colleagues to develop their paediatric imaging practice.

Requirements

  • Evidence of having undertaken own development to improve understanding of equalities issues.
  • Evidence of having championed diversity in previous roles.
