About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Extended Personal Advisor to join our Care Leavers Team. This role is pivotal in supporting looked after children and care leavers up to the age of 25, fostering meaningful relationships as they transition into adulthood and independence.

In Leicestershire, we emphasize relationship-based practices and aim for excellence. As an Extended Personal Advisor, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of our Care Leavers.

About You

To be considered for this role, you should possess:

  • Relevant experience in working with care leavers within a social care environment or similar.
  • Expertise in delivering targeted support for young individuals with complex needs.
  • The ability to manage and prioritize a demanding caseload effectively.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work alongside various professionals to ensure favorable outcomes for young people.
  • Analytical skills to assess information and make informed decisions, often under pressure.
  • A valid driving license and access to a vehicle.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and guidelines affecting care leavers, ensuring their voices are heard and their life chances improved.
