About the Role
We are pleased to announce a vacancy for a Senior Personal Advisor within our Care Leavers Team. This role is essential in supporting looked after children and care leavers up to the age of 25. As a Personal Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in fostering enduring relationships with our care leavers as they navigate their journey into adulthood and independence.
At Leicestershire, we are committed to relationship-based practices and pursuing excellence. As a Senior Personal Advisor, you will have the opportunity to establish meaningful connections and effect positive change in the lives of our Care Leavers.
If you are dedicated to achieving positive outcomes for young individuals and possess the compassion and commitment necessary to support our Care Leavers, this position may be ideal for you.
About You
To be considered for this position, you should possess:
- Relevant experience, either paid or voluntary, in working with care leavers within a social care environment or a related field.
- Expertise in delivering targeted support for young individuals with complex needs.
- The ability to manage and prioritize a demanding caseload with competing priorities.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with various professionals to ensure favorable outcomes for young people.
- Capability to analyze information to make informed decisions, often under pressure, and to take responsibility for outcomes while providing regular updates to the Team Manager.
- A valid driving license and access to a vehicle.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and guidelines concerning care leavers, and the ability to advocate for their voices to enhance their life opportunities.
