About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Learning and Development Professional to join our team at Leicestershire County Council. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing a comprehensive learning and development strategy that supports the organization's goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • To develop and deliver a range of learning and development programs that meet the needs of our workforce, including leadership development, skills training, and organizational change management.
  • To work closely with senior managers and stakeholders to understand business needs and develop targeted learning solutions that drive business results.
  • To lead on projects and initiatives that support the organization's transformation agenda, including the implementation of new technologies and processes.
  • To manage a team of learning advisors and provide coaching and guidance to support their development and performance.
  • To collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure that learning and development initiatives are aligned with business objectives and contribute to the organization's overall success.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a relevant degree or professional qualification in a field such as HR, education, or organizational development. You will also need to have significant experience in learning and development, including experience of developing and delivering training programs, managing teams, and working with senior stakeholders.

You will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve business objectives. You will also need to have a strong understanding of adult learning principles and be able to design and deliver learning programs that meet the needs of our workforce.
