Role Overview

Are you prepared to inspire and guide the store team alongside the Store Manager? Are you dedicated to ensuring your team embodies the best sales approach and delivers an exceptional shopping experience for our customers?

If so, you may be the Assistant Store Leader we are seeking.

WHAT WE PROVIDE

Joining our retail organization means becoming part of a company that aims to be the preferred choice for potential employees. We are dynamic, and your contributions will be valued, with your professional growth being a priority for us. As a representative of JYSK, you will enjoy:

Opportunities for personal development through comprehensive training and mentorship. Internal competitions among stores with appealing rewards. A salary of £23,500 along with a competitive sales incentive. A flexible work schedule to balance your professional and personal life. A 20% discount at JYSK and associated companies. A company pension scheme.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate with the Store Manager to enhance store operations, ensuring readiness for customers and achieving outstanding sales results. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee weekly promotions, foster a sales-oriented mindset, and cultivate a vibrant, energetic environment where your team can excel. In alignment with our JYSK Leadership Values, you will support the Store Manager by effectively communicating, leading, and coaching the team directly on the sales floor. You will educate your colleagues on prioritizing customer needs and effective selling techniques. You are not deterred by physical tasks and lead by example through active selling and performing routine duties in the store. You envision a future as a Store Manager and are committed to achieving that goal.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU

Proven experience in leading, motivating, and developing a team. Ability to inspire and communicate effectively to foster a positive workplace atmosphere. A strong commitment to taking ownership of customer service and its outcomes. You are results-driven: maintaining composure and providing direction even in high-pressure situations. You consistently strive for improvement and quickly bounce back from setbacks. You appreciate having a weekday off to be fully present for our customers and your team during weekends. A passion for sales and a proven track record as a skilled retailer.

IS THIS YOUR NEXT STEP? Consider applying.

Recruitment Process:

We review applications continuously and will finalize the recruitment process once we identify the ideal candidate. We conduct interviews and, for select roles, you may participate in assessments and a video interview, where we look forward to learning about your motivation for this position.

Qualifications

1-2 years of supervisory or senior sales experience is preferred.
