Overview of the Role

The Pharmacy Delivery and Collection Service (PDC) is a critical component of our operations, providing a caring, consistent, efficient, and professional service across the UK. Our teams of drivers are based at hubs and satellite locations, working together to meet the dynamic demands of the service.

Your Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the PDC Manager to deliver PDC operations across your area, ensuring delivery to targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to model and implement best practices, driving operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Accountable for delivering outstanding customer care to all PDC customers, ensuring a consistently high level of service.
  • On a day-to-day basis, ensure an efficient operation, supporting the delivery of key KPIs and targets.
  • Deliver operation excellence around areas such as vehicle management, KPI reporting, and other processes.
  • Take calls from drivers and internal and external stakeholders, providing timely and effective support.
  • Ensure adherence to standards and policies, particularly around Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) and Health and Safety (H&S) protocols.
  • Act as an ambassador for Boots and PDC at all times, promoting our values and brand.

  • You must have good planning skills, attention to detail, and a great knowledge of systems and processes.
  • Good communication and people skills are essential, with the ability to engage and motivate teams.
