Security Officer

To support the overall security strategy and uphold the security policy, ensuring the security of ourselves and others. This role involves proactive measures to prevent incidents and occurrences, using diplomacy and minimal enforcement. The Security Officer will provide security cover by patrolling all areas, maintaining fire and Health and Safety Regulations, and securing the premises.
Key Responsibilities- Start shift promptly at designated time, in full uniform.
- Exercise excellent customer service skills to enhance the overall visitor experience.
- Be aware of RSC Safeguarding Policy and communicate effectively with colleagues and visitors.
- Responsible for active communication of handover of shift to on-shift supervisor.
- Ensure awareness of Health and Safety procedures and follow the Health and Safety Policy.
- Be familiar with fire alarm procedures and the RSC Fire Policy.
- Assist Police presence on site, either in person, by camera, or by statement.
- Diffuse incidents and situations, and provide first aid if necessary.
- Support all performances as a performance Fire Officer.
- Control area duty, including answering telephone enquiries, monitoring cameras, and completing DOB and Security ID pass management.
- Follow through managerial instructions and report all security concerns.
- Ensure all work is carried out in a safe, proper, and thorough manner, taking into account Health and Safety legislation, Incentive FM, and RSC policies and procedures.
- SIA licence (CCTV & Door Supervisor)
- First Aid Certificated
- Experience of working and building partnerships with clients
- IOSH trained desirable
- Articulate and able to communicate effectively with clients and IFM teams
- Organised individual with a record of planning and managing work flows
- Able to demonstrate an understanding of high-quality service delivery and its impact
- The ability to be agile and flexible to meet the needs and demands of the role
