Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Global Banking School. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our staff, students, and visitors on campus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Security Operations: Monitor and control access to campus buildings and facilities, ensuring that only authorized personnel have access.
- Incident Response: Respond to and investigate security incidents, including alarms, suspicious activity, and emergency situations.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to staff, students, and visitors, responding to their queries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with colleagues, management, and external agencies, including the police and fire services.
- Health and Safety: Ensure that all security procedures and protocols are followed to maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
- Key Control: Maintain control of all keys and access devices, ensuring that they are securely stored and accounted for.
- Reporting: Compile accurate and detailed reports of security incidents and activities, as required.
Requirements:
- Security Experience: Proven experience in a security role, with a strong understanding of security procedures and protocols.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and external agencies.
- Health and Safety: Strong understanding of health and safety procedures and protocols, with the ability to maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
- Key Control: Ability to maintain control of all keys and access devices, ensuring that they are securely stored and accounted for.
- DBS Check: Possession of a valid DBS check, or willingness to undergo one.
Working Hours: This is a permanent position, working 40 hours per week, with various shifts across day and night, from Monday to Sunday.
Location: The main office will be GEDU house, but work will be provided across East London.
