Job Title: Duty Manager - Operations Lead

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Duty Manager - Operations Lead to join our team at ABM UK. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our airport services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise a team of operational staff to ensure that all airport authority service level agreements are met and maintained.
  • Develop and implement key performance indicators for direct reports to drive performance and efficiency.
  • Ensure effective communication with airlines, airport authorities, and other stakeholders to resolve any service failures or issues.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on service delivery, customer interactions, and staff performance.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of services and effective communication.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of staff attendance, leave, and performance.
  • Ensure that all equipment, vehicles, and company property are properly maintained and accounted for.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the airport or transportation industry.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Person Specification:

  • Customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of cash management and bookkeeping procedures.
  • Team management skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Experience with facilities maintenance and/or security.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Availability to work in shifts, including weekends.

Essential Criteria for an Airside Pass:

  • To be considered for the role, you will need to provide a full 5-year history of employment, self-employment, unemployment, and education.
  • Valid photographic proof of identity.
  • Valid Visa/Proof of right to work for non-UK and out-of-EU nationals.
  • Proof of National Insurance No. (or evidence that you have applied for one).
  • Proof of identity and address.
  • Acceptance of and willingness to undergo a Criminal Record Check (CRC) and Airside Security Clearance.
