About the Role

Kemp Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Service Coordinator to join our dedicated service team. As a Service Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our service department, working closely with our field-based engineers and internal departments to deliver exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate a team of field-based engineers, utilizing company technology tools to monitor engineer efficiencies and provide customer satisfaction.
  • Cover during absence/holidays for Service Coordinator colleagues.
  • Take incoming calls from customers and suppliers, providing timely and effective communication.
  • Manage customer liaison and queries, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Support the Service team in scheduling, booking, and cancellations.
  • Instruct and authorize sub-contractors, such as tyre suppliers and coded welders.
  • Prepare and process quotations and estimates within escalation amounts.
  • Monitor and update daily and monthly performance metrics using electronic planning boards and VOR systems.
  • Supply jobs, work-in-progress numbers, and statistics, ensuring accurate invoicing and timely collation of job sheets.
  • Perform general administrative duties, including reception overflow and landline calls.
Requirements
  • Experience working in a service office environment with mobile engineers.
  • Ability to work to deadlines while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal, planning, organizational, motivational skills, and the ability to use own initiative.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving, with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate and drive the Service team.
Industry Knowledge

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the field service industry, including knowledge of forklift machinery, HGV, electrical, and vehicle technology. Experience working with companies that provide specialist forklift machinery services is highly desirable.
