Tax Manager

The Eventus Recruitment Group is seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our team in Darlington. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for providing advisory and tax compliance support to our clients, as well as running a number of live trusts and working alongside our Tax & Trust department.
Key Responsibilities- Preparing Tax Returns: Prepare tax returns for ongoing trusts, estates, and individual clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax regulations.
- Trust Administration: Run live trusts, prepare trust accounts, and manage the administration of trusts, including discretionary, life interest, settlor-interested, non-settlor-interested, bare trusts, and mixed trusts.
- Trust Registration Service: Deal with Trust Registration Service requirements when creating, altering, or terminating trusts.
- Liaising with Brokers and Agents: Liaise with brokers, agents, and IFAs as necessary to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
- Compliance Work: Deal with ten year anniversary charges, exit charges, and all aspects of IHT compliance work.
- Tax Planning: Assist with tax planning work, including preparing CGT computations and dealing with chargeable events for estates and trusts.
- Client Management: Manage the finances for some of our elderly or vulnerable clients, providing personalized support and guidance.
We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager who is comfortable with an element of advisory and compliance work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax law and a proven track record of delivering high-quality tax services. They will be passionate about private client taxes, have excellent communication skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
