About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Colocation Business Development Lead to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive growth and revenue in the data center vertical.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Maintain Customer Relationships
    • Build strong relationships with consulting engineers, design & build contractors, and colocation operators to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.
    • Develop and implement account management plans to achieve sales targets and customer retention.
  • Drive Sales Growth
    • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth in the data center vertical.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our customer base.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams
    • Work closely with regional offices, global products, and other JCI teams to pursue projects and drive sales growth.
    • Collaborate with internal support, sales, operations, and administrative staff to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends
    • Develop a solid understanding of industry standards, building codes, and regulations within the EMEALA region.
    • Stay current on best practices for design of HVAC solutions within colocation data centers.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Engineering, Business, or relevant experience.
  • Experience
    • Proven track record of consistently achieving HVAC sales targets in a B2B environment.
    • Five (5) years of experience selling HVAC solutions within the data centers industry.
  • Skills
    • Ability to adapt and flex while working on influencing and guiding customers with a consultative approach.
    • Ability to work in a matrix environment as an individual contributor.
    • Fluent language skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Existing Network/Relationships
    • An existing network/relationships within the data centers industry (consulting engineers, contractors, and colocation operators).
  • Experience with Sales Tools
    • Prior experience with Sales Force, Altify, and day-to-day software solutions (Outlook, Office, Teams, etc.).
