About the Role
We are excited to announce a pivotal opportunity within Bolton Council's Corporate Property team, which is undergoing strategic growth. This newly structured organization aims to enhance service delivery across our extensive portfolio, ensuring alignment with the Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP). Our management encompasses approximately 1,700 diverse assets, ranging from significant civic structures to commercial properties that serve the community's needs.
The Corporate Property service plays a crucial role in supporting Bolton's ambitious regeneration initiatives and is actively involved in a portfolio of capital projects valued at over £50 million. Our team manages nearly 4,500 helpdesk inquiries annually, addressing the needs of staff and elected officials, while also overseeing around 350 rent renewals each year and strategically disposing of assets as per SAMP guidelines.
The Corporate Property Services Manager will report directly to the Assistant Director of this service. This management-level position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to both strategic planning and operational execution. Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing service delivery performance from third-party contractors, particularly in facilities and estate management.
- Maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Managing communications for the Corporate Property division and addressing significant service challenges.
- Engaging in long-term strategic initiatives, including the establishment of new service provider contracts and involvement in PFI projects.
While the role is based in Bolton's prestigious Town Hall, there will be opportunities for remote work to support a flexible work environment. Additionally, periodic site visits to various properties within the Council's estate will be required.
