At Quarsh, a B Corp Certified company, we are seeking a highly skilled Quality and Compliance Engineer to join our team. This exciting new role has been created to support the growth and development of our electronics company, which specializes in designing and producing environmental monitoring devices.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our quality assurance systems, ensuring that our products and services meet the highest standards of quality and consistency. This will involve working closely with our external consultant to implement and maintain our quality management systems, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and established standards.

As a key member of our team, the Quality and Compliance Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Managing and maintaining our quality certifications, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and other relevant approvals.
  • Ensuring that audits, non-conformances, and equipment calibrations are up to date and progressed.
  • Overseeing the development, modification, application, and maintenance of standards for quality operating methods, processes, systems, and procedures.
  • Determining present standards and establishing quality and reliability expectancy of finished products.

Key qualifications for this role include:

  • HNC or higher in engineering or a related field.
  • Auditor trained CQI-IRCA ISO 9001:2015 or similar.
  • Level 5 qualification or above in Quality Assurance.

Desirable skills and experience include:

  • Minimum of 5 years progressive quality experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of manufacturing quality processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA).
  • Knowledge of quality management and improvement practices and programs, such as Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, TQM, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Knowledge of SAP/ERP is desired.
