An exciting vacancy has emerged for the role of Electronic Patient Record Coordinator to join our dedicated and professional Patient Systems Team. The successful candidate will possess expertise in Patient Administration Systems (PAS), Electronic Patient Records (EPR), and specialized electronic health record systems, contributing to the daily support of our end users and collaborating closely with Digital Teams to ensure efficient project delivery.

The selected individual will engage with Clinical Directorates and colleagues in Digital and Informatics teams to offer specialized guidance and support regarding system setup, configuration, and utilization, thereby facilitating all facets of patient care, service planning, policy formulation, and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will oversee a small team responsible for managing the Trust's electronic patient record system.

The role involves providing expert assistance on system setup, configuration, and, in cases of new systems or upgrades, implementation and training prior to the transition to a live environment. Collaborating with the Project Manager and lead clinicians is essential to ensure thorough testing of software, as well as planning and identifying necessary resources to guarantee timely delivery.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential Qualifications

  • Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience

Desirable Qualifications

  • Training qualification or relevant experience in training delivery/planning
  • ITIL Certification

Essential Experience

  • A minimum of three years of experience with electronic patient systems
  • Extensive experience utilizing EPRs and Patient Systems to enhance patient care
  • Experience in the implementation of patient systems
  • Background in Change Management
  • Experience in staff management

Desirable Experience

  • Prior experience within the NHS
  • Familiarity with Trust systems such as PCS, ePMA, Patientrack, ICE, SystmOne, WebV, DMWM, ERS, or other PAS/EPRs
