Job Title: Clinical Lead for Early Intervention in Psychosis

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team as Clinical Lead for Early Intervention in Psychosis. The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership to our CAMEO service, contributing to the assessment and treatment of patients with early symptoms of psychosis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical leadership to the CAMEO service, ensuring high-quality care and treatment for patients with early symptoms of psychosis.
  • Contribute to the assessment and treatment of patients, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based care.
  • Facilitate accurate diagnosis and timely interventions, ensuring treatment is delivered in a timely manner and in accordance with the recovery model.
  • Provide ongoing treatments to patients, maintaining a bio-psycho-social approach and adhering to NICE guidelines.
  • Work closely with the senior leadership team to ensure the new NHS Standards for early intervention services are met and delivered beyond expectations.
  • Maintain Section 12(2) status and Approved Clinician status, with a comprehensive awareness of Mental Health, Mental Capacity, and Care Act legislation.
  • Participate in Mental Health Act assessments and share Responsible Clinician status for patients on supervised community treatment orders.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and formulation meetings, working closely with team members, care coordinators, and statutory agencies.
Professional Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the Trust's annual Appraisal process and attend all relevant mandatory training.
  • Take part in regular supervision, annual appraisal, and annual job planning.
  • Maintain education, professional development, and accreditation, with appropriate time and financial support.
Other Responsibilities:

The post holder will be required to maintain their education, professional development, and accreditation, with appropriate time and financial support. The job description will be reviewed regularly in the light of changing service requirements.
