We are in search of a proactive and visionary Course Leader to oversee our premier Games offerings in BA Games Art & Design and BSc Games Development. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Director of Computer Arts and Technology to enhance and expand the vision for these disciplines at Norwich, engaging in discussions about contemporary industry trends and broader societal issues while addressing global challenges.

The role encompasses leadership, management, and advocacy for the programs; contributing to the development of new postgraduate and short courses; and collaborating with industry organizations to advance these fields.

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic academic leader with the vision, insight, and commitment necessary to further develop, deliver, and promote Norwich's Games offerings. A comprehensive understanding of the national and international games landscape, along with experience in fostering connections between education and industry, is essential. A background in a relevant area of the games sector, coupled with a recognized profile as a creative practitioner, industry expert, or researcher, is required. Specialist knowledge in areas such as Concept Art, Asset Production, Indie Games Development, or Games Programming is highly desirable. A robust network of industry partners and the capability to spearhead significant collaborative initiatives will be advantageous.

The successful candidate will exhibit exceptional teaching skills, placing inclusivity at the core of their approach. They will advocate for the disciplines within games, effectively promoting the programs to prospective students and educators, both domestically and internationally. The ability to collaborate with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders is crucial, ensuring that varied perspectives enrich our student experience and that the support provided is culturally aware.

Furthermore, the successful candidate will demonstrate outstanding organizational, management, and team-building skills, with a proven track record of enhancing student educational experiences and outcomes. A collaborative and collegial leadership style is essential for this role, which will involve close cooperation with colleagues across various courses and departments.
