We are in search of a visionary and proactive Course Leader to manage our esteemed Games offerings in BA Games Art & Design and BSc Games Development. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Director of Computer Arts and Technology to enhance and expand the vision for these disciplines, engaging in discussions about contemporary trends in the industry and broader societal issues.

The role encompasses leadership, administration, and advocacy for the programs; contributing to the development of new courses, particularly in postgraduate and short course areas; and liaising with industry organizations to promote the disciplines.

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic academic leader with the vision, insight, and commitment necessary to further develop and promote Norwich's Games offerings. A comprehensive understanding of the national and international games landscape, along with experience in building networks between education and industry, is essential. A background in a relevant area of the games industry and a recognized profile as a creative practitioner, industry expert, or researcher is required. Specialized knowledge in curriculum areas such as Concept Art, Asset Production, Indie Games Development, or Games Programming is highly desirable.

The successful candidate will be an outstanding educator who prioritizes inclusivity in their teaching practice. They will serve as an advocate for the games disciplines, promoting the programs to prospective students and educators both domestically and internationally. The ability to collaborate with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders is crucial, ensuring that our student experience is enriched by varied perspectives and that the support provided is culturally aware.

Furthermore, the successful candidate will exhibit exceptional organizational, managerial, and team-building skills, demonstrating a commitment to enhancing student educational experiences and outcomes. A collaborative and collegial approach to leadership and teamwork is vital for this role, necessitating close cooperation with colleagues across various courses and departments.
