King Edward VII Academy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to take on the role of Head of Modern Foreign Languages and Curriculum Development. As a senior leader, you will be responsible for leading the department and developing innovative approaches to teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the department in developing and implementing a high-quality curriculum that meets the needs of students.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, students, and parents to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and learning, making recommendations for improvement.
- Contribute to the development of the school's strategic plan and implement initiatives to improve student outcomes.
- Manage budgets and resources to ensure effective use of departmental funds.
Requirements:
- First Degree or Equivalent in a relevant field.
- Qualified Teacher Status.
- Successful experience as a teacher and manager in education, preferably in a secondary school setting.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, students, and parents.
