Job Overview

The Head of Commercial Product will lead airline provision, modernizing and adapting current processes to align with industry standards, requirements, and limitations.

This role requires a proven track record of leading a team in an operational role, with competence in all areas of GDS, particularly Amadeus. Ensuring team members are trained to serve both internal and external customers proficiently within agreed timelines is essential.

As the Head of Commercial Product, you will research and present airline developments to the product team, anticipate product development requirements, and support the team with flight provision for all holidays.

From an operational aspect, you will support the team with last-minute operational flight changes, ensure ticketing documentation is accurate, monitor flights daily, and ensure flights are loaded accurately onto the internal reservation and booking system.

This senior travel job in tour operating requires someone who can demonstrate a proven track record of success in flights trading, with a natural leadership style and excellent grasp of tour operating and the aviation sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead airline provision and modernize current processes
  • Develop and implement GDS strategies, particularly Amadeus
  • Train team members to serve internal and external customers
  • Research and present airline developments to the product team
  • Anticipate product development requirements and support the team with flight provision
  • Monitor flights daily and ensure accurate loading onto the internal reservation and booking system
