About the Role

This exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and ambitious individual to join our team as Assistant Head of Commercial. Reporting to the Head of Commercial, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and delivery of commercial strategies across all of our buildings.

Based at the Norwich Playhouse, you will have line management responsibility for the Duty Bar Manager at the Playhouse and will be responsible for ensuring we deliver an excellent and inspiring customer experience, generating significant income levels that support the core charitable activities at the centre of the organisation.

About You

We are looking for someone with demonstrable experience at management level in a large scale, multifaceted hospitality operation, with a strong understanding of current food and drinks trends, together with experience of managing a busy bar operation.

You will have experience of managing and developing people and teams, with the ability to empower, motivate and engage teams to succeed. Strong commercial and financial acumen, together with great communication, organisation and problem solving skills will be key for this role.

We are an independent not-for-profit charity with no regular public funding, and rely on a share of ticket sales, one-off grants, fundraising/membership schemes and other commercial activities to deliver the work we do both on stage and in communities.
