Job Title: Head of Commercial Finance

Certas Energy UK Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Commercial Finance to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing strategic financial insights and partnering with business units to drive commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement financial planning and analysis processes to support business decision-making
  • Provide financial forecasting and reporting to senior management, ensuring accurate and timely insights
  • Partner with business unit leaders to develop a deep understanding of their operations and financial drivers
  • Manage internal audit requirements and develop a risk register to ensure financial risks are identified and mitigated
  • Develop and implement working capital forecasting models to optimize cash flow and reduce financial risks
  • Perform comprehensive overhead analysis to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements
  • Provide clear and concise financial analysis and reporting to senior management, ensuring accurate financial data and timely insights
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks, proposing effective strategies to safeguard the organization's financial health
  • Partner with cross-functional teams across the organization to support strategic initiatives and decision-making
  • Develop and implement financial processes and controls to ensure adherence to accounting standards and best practices
  • Foster a culture of strong financial accountability within the organization
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in commercial finance
Requirements:
  • Proven track record of success in financial planning and analysis, forecasting, and reporting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Proficient in financial modeling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, financial modeling software)
  • CIMA or ACA qualified
  • Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience
  • Strong understanding of contract accounting (WIP/Deferred income/Accrued income etc)
