Children's Community Nursing Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Children's Registered Nurse to join our team at the Royal Stoke Hospital as a Band 7 Children's Epilepsy Nurse Specialist.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will work in the Child Health Directorate, providing a highly developed and effective service for children and young people with epilepsy. They will work effectively and efficiently with children, parents/carers, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate, plan, deliver, and manage the healthcare needs of patients.
Main Responsibilities- Act as a recognised expert in the field of epilepsy nursing and provide professional leadership in all areas of practice.
- Develop and deliver innovative and evidence-based practice through professional leadership.
- Contribute to the management of a quality and cost-effective service, planning, implementing, and evaluating new and existing policies in children's epilepsy and service delivery.
- Work collaboratively with clinicians and other stakeholders to develop and implement new initiatives and projects.
- Minimum of 10 years post-registration experience, including at least 5 years' experience providing Epilepsy care.
- Experience of supporting child and family learning and use of competency-based assessments.
- Experience of working across boundaries to develop networks with key stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritise workload in response to service need.
- Experience of managing a diverse team utilising the full spectrum of HR practices.
