Job Title: Children's Epilepsy Specialist Nurse

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Children's Registered Nurse to join our team at the Royal Stoke Hospital as a Children's Epilepsy Specialist Nurse. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children and young people with epilepsy.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide highly developed and effective care for children and young people with epilepsy
  • Work effectively with children, parents/carers, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate, plan, deliver, and manage healthcare needs
  • Act as a recognised expert in the field of epilepsy nursing and provide professional leadership
  • Develop and deliver innovative and evidence-based practice through professional leadership
  • Contribute to the management of a quality and cost-effective service
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 10 years post-registration experience, including at least 5 years' experience providing Epilepsy care
  • Experience of supporting child and family learning and use of competency-based assessments
  • Experience of working across boundaries to develop networks with key stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritise workload in response to service need
  • Experience of managing a diverse team utilising the full spectrum of HR practices
