Children's Community Nurse Specialist

Douglas Macmillan Hospice is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Children's Community Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our palliative care team, you will provide expert nursing care to children and families in our community, hospice, and hospital settings.
Main Responsibilities- Assess, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans for children and families in partnership with other healthcare professionals.
- Work collaboratively with social care, education, and voluntary sector agencies to provide holistic care to children and families.
- Act as a role model and mentor to other staff members, promoting excellence in nursing practice and leadership.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of service improvements, audits, and risk assessments.
- Participate in clinical governance activities, research, and audit to ensure high-quality care.

Requirements- Registered Children's Nurse (RNCB) or equivalent qualification.
- ENB 998 or C&G 7307 or equivalent.
- Children's Palliative Care experience.
- Staff coordination experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and agencies.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize a busy and complex workload.
