Job Title: Residential Child Care Officer SEMH

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Residential Child Care Officer SEMH to join our team at Protocol Education. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to students with SEMH needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support and care to students with SEMH needs, promoting their physical and emotional wellbeing.
  • Develop and implement personalized care plans, working closely with students, families, and other professionals.
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive living environment, ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of all students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality care and support, promoting a positive and inclusive team culture.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience working with adolescents, preferably with SEMH needs.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Child/Young Persons Care or equivalent.
  • Ability to administer medication and provide first aid.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Children Act and NMS for residential special schools.
  • Good working knowledge of ICT to support learning.
  • Current driving license and willingness to use own car to transport students, if required.
