Senior Residential Child Care Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Senior Residential Child Care Worker to join our residential team in our highly successful academy. The residential provision holds Outstanding Ofsted status, and we are committed to providing a balanced 24-hour curriculum to meet individual and group needs.
Key Responsibilities- Support students from leaving school to the following morning, providing a safe and supportive environment.
- Supervise designated staff and ensure adherence to acceptable standards of behaviour.
- Participate in the general supervision of students, ensuring their physical and emotional wellbeing.
- Develop and implement placement plans, risk assessments, and activity rotas.
- Support students with schoolwork, activities, and daily routines.
- Minimum 2 years' experience working with adolescents, preferably with SEMH.
- NVQ Level 3 in Child/Young Persons Care.
- Ability to administer medication and supervise staff.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Children Act and NMS for residential special schools.
- Good knowledge of First Aid and driving qualification (minibus).
- Ability to use MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, and complete detailed reports.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Working 39 weeks per year, with paid prorated holiday and pay for the remaining 13 weeks.
