About the Role:

The Gregory Distribution is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) Coordinator to join our team. As an HSEQ Coordinator, you will play a critical role in promoting a culture of safety and quality within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective HSEQ strategies and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular site audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with site managers and department heads to develop and implement safety and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on HSEQ procedures and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain HSEQ documentation, including policies, procedures, and reports.
  • Monitor and analyze HSEQ performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive HSEQ training program for employees.
  • Collaborate with the HSEQ team to develop and implement a comprehensive HSEQ management system.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and industry associations to stay up-to-date on the latest HSEQ trends and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally in a related industry such as logistics and distribution.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in HSE or a similar role.
  • Industry-recognized qualification such as the NEBOSH National General Certificate (or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft packages, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of hours as the business requires.
  • Strong analytical capability and the ability to analyze data and find timely solutions to problems.
  • Hard working and conscientious.
  • Ability to proactively manage changing priorities and deadlines at short notice.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Experience with ISO 45001.
  • Full UK driving license as this will involve traveling to other sites.
