Job Summary:

The Gregory Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) Coordinator to join our team. As an HSEQ Coordinator, you will play a critical role in promoting a culture of safety and quality within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective HSEQ strategies and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular site audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with site managers and department heads to develop and implement safety and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on HSEQ procedures and protocols.
  • Develop and maintain HSEQ metrics and reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans and business continuity strategies.
  • Collaborate with the HSEQ Central team to develop and implement company-wide HSEQ initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and industry associations to stay up-to-date on the latest HSEQ trends and best practices.
  • Provide support and guidance to employees on HSEQ-related matters.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally in a related industry such as distribution and warehousing.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in HSE or a similar role.
  • Industry-recognized qualification such as the NEBOSH National General Certificate (or equivalent).
  • Strong track record of delivering safety performance improvement through behavioral and cultural change.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels and be comfortable presenting to senior managers.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of hours as the business requires.
  • Strong analytical capability and the ability to analyze data and find timely solutions to problems.
  • Hard working and conscientious.
  • Ability to proactively manage changing priorities and deadlines at short notice.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Experience with ISO 45001.
  • Full UK driving license as this will involve traveling to other sites.

Desirable Skills:

  • Transport and warehouse experience.
  • Working towards the NEBOSH National Diploma.
  • Experience with BRC Warehousing and Transport Standards.
  • Finance experience.
  • Continuous Improvement methodology qualification.

  • Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience).
