About the Role
Lifelancer is a prominent talent acquisition platform specializing in Life Sciences, Pharmaceuticals, and IT. We are currently seeking an accomplished researcher to join our editorial team as an Associate/Senior Editor. This position focuses on high-quality scientific research in the fields of Electrical Engineering and Energy Infrastructure. Ideal candidates will possess a robust understanding of their discipline and an eagerness to explore beyond their immediate expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and managing original research manuscripts.
  • Collaborating with fellow editors throughout the editorial workflow, including manuscript selection and peer review oversight.
  • Making informed editorial choices based on expert feedback.
  • Defining the representation of the subject matter within the journal.
  • Engaging with editors from other journals within the Lifelancer network and connecting with experts in the global scientific community.
  • Participating in conferences and visiting research institutions to enhance knowledge and networking.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A PhD or equivalent experience in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or related fields, such as power systems, energy management, or telecommunications.
  • Familiarity with applied computational techniques and machine learning is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Postdoctoral research experience is preferred, though not essential.
  • A solid grasp of the core principles of the discipline is crucial.
  • A genuine passion for science and engineering, coupled with a desire for continuous learning.
  • Demonstrated breadth of interest in scientific research across various areas within Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Energy Infrastructure.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English (both written and spoken).
  • The ability to comprehend and evaluate the context and implications of research submissions from diverse areas within the discipline.
  • Willingness to travel and engage with scientists globally to share insights and foster understanding of publication expectations.
  • While editorial experience is not a prerequisite, candidates with significant editorial backgrounds are encouraged to apply and may be considered for Senior Editor roles.
