About the Role
Lifelancer is seeking a talented individual to fill the position of Editor specializing in Electrical Engineering and Energy Infrastructure. This role is perfect for those with a robust academic background who are eager to engage with scientific literature beyond their immediate field of expertise. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the editorial process for high-quality research papers in the domain of electrical and electronic engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the review and publication of original research articles.
  • Collaborating with fellow editors on various editorial tasks, including manuscript selection and peer review management.
  • Making informed editorial choices based on expert feedback.
  • Ensuring comprehensive representation of the subject matter within the journal.
  • Engaging with editors from other journals and experts in the scientific community.
  • Participating in conferences and visiting research institutions to stay updated on advancements in the field.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A PhD or equivalent experience in electrical and electronic engineering or related fields, such as power systems, energy management, or telecommunications.
  • Familiarity with computational methods and machine learning is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Postdoctoral research experience is preferred, though not essential.
  • A solid grasp of the fundamental principles of the discipline is crucial.
  • A genuine passion for science and engineering, coupled with a desire for continuous learning.
  • Demonstrated breadth of interest in scientific research across various areas of electrical engineering and energy infrastructure.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English (both written and spoken).
  • The capability to critically assess research submissions from diverse areas within the discipline.
  • Willingness to travel and engage with scientists globally to foster collaboration and understanding.
  • While prior editorial experience is not a requirement, candidates with significant editorial backgrounds are encouraged to apply for senior roles.
