Position Overview

Elsevier Limited Company is on the lookout for a seasoned and innovative Senior Scientific Editor to join the esteemed editorial team of "Cell Reports." This pivotal role provides an exceptional opportunity to steer the editorial vision and content strategy of a leading scientific journal. As a Senior Scientific Editor, you will play a crucial role in shaping scientific dialogue and ensuring the dissemination of high-quality, influential research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identifying and acquiring compelling content while evaluating submitted research manuscripts.
  • Choosing and collaborating with peer reviewers.
  • Maintaining engagement with authors throughout the review process, delivering exemplary author support.
  • Commissioning, editing, and reviewing perspective articles, as well as other editorial content for the journal's homepage and social media platforms.

Qualifications

  • Possess an accredited PhD in a relevant scientific field.
  • Demonstrate prior editorial experience.
  • Exhibit a broad range of scientific interests and the ability to critically assess diverse scientific and clinical topics.
  • Exhibit exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in English.
  • Capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a diverse, global team.
