Position Overview
Lifelancer is seeking a dedicated individual to join our editorial team as an Editor specializing in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. This role is pivotal in advancing our mission to publish high-quality scientific research across various disciplines. We are looking for someone with a robust academic background in electrical engineering, who possesses a keen analytical mindset and a broad interest in the scientific community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and managing original research submissions.
  • Collaborating with fellow editors throughout the editorial workflow, including manuscript evaluation and peer review management.
  • Making informed editorial judgments based on expert feedback.
  • Defining the scope and representation of electrical engineering topics within our publications.
  • Engaging with editors from other journals and experts globally.
  • Participating in academic conferences and visiting research facilities.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A PhD or equivalent experience in electrical and electronic engineering or related fields such as power systems, energy management, or telecommunications.
  • Familiarity with computational techniques and machine learning is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Postdoctoral experience is preferred but not required.
  • A solid grasp of core principles in the field is essential.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for scientific inquiry and a desire to expand knowledge.
  • Demonstrated interest in diverse research areas within and beyond electrical engineering.
  • Strong communication skills, with proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
  • The capability to interpret and evaluate research from various sub-disciplines.
  • Willingness to travel for networking and learning opportunities within the scientific community.
  • While prior editorial experience is beneficial, it is not a prerequisite for applicants.
