Lifelancer is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented editor specializing in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. This role is essential for enhancing the quality of scientific publications in our portfolio. The ideal candidate will possess a robust academic background and a passion for advancing research in this dynamic field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing and managing original research manuscripts.
- Collaborating with fellow editors throughout the editorial workflow, including manuscript evaluation and peer review supervision.
- Making informed editorial choices based on expert insights.
- Defining the scope and representation of electrical engineering topics within our publications.
- Engaging with editors from other journals and liaising with experts globally.
- Participating in conferences and visiting research institutions to foster professional relationships.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A PhD or equivalent experience in electrical and electronic engineering or related disciplines, such as power systems or telecommunications.
- Familiarity with computational techniques and machine learning is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Postdoctoral experience is preferred but not essential.
- A solid grasp of fundamental concepts in the field is crucial.
- A genuine enthusiasm for scientific inquiry and a desire to expand knowledge.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken.
