Job Summary

Timreed is seeking an experienced Commissioning Editor to join our team in the publishing of electrical and electronic engineering books. As a Commissioning Editor, you will be responsible for researching and identifying new titles, managing the review and developmental process, and overseeing the departmental budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and identify new book titles in the electrical and electronic engineering sector
  • Manage the review and developmental process for commissioned books
  • Oversee the departmental budget and ensure timely completion of projects
  • Collaborate with authors, editors, and designers to produce high-quality books
  • Develop and maintain relationships with authors, agents, and other industry professionals

Requirements

  • Proven experience in STM or Professional publishing
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic engineering
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and financial skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
