Our Endoscopy Unit is seeking a dedicated Care Support Specialist to join our compassionate and collaborative team. This role is essential in delivering high-quality care to patients undergoing various endoscopic procedures.

Our unit provides a range of services, including gastroscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, cystoscopy, hysteroscopy, and urodynamic assessments. Additionally, we offer phlebotomy, pre-assessment, and outpatient services for these specialties.

Key Responsibilities

As a Care Support Specialist , you will collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver outstanding patient-centered care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization within the department.
  • Assisting with inventory management and equipment checks before and after procedures.
  • Leading outpatient clinics in partnership with medical professionals.
  • Supporting patient admissions and recovery processes.
  • Preparing clinical areas for procedures to ensure operational efficiency.

You will be expected to uphold best practices, maintain essential competencies, and continuously develop skills relevant to the endoscopy field. Accurate record-keeping in accordance with organizational policies is essential.

About Us

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a healthcare setting and hold relevant qualifications in Health and Social Care. Experience in phlebotomy and conducting ECGs is advantageous, as is the ability to work closely with medical professionals to support patient care.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial as you will interact with various departments and communicate effectively with patients and their families.
