Our Endoscopy Unit is seeking a dedicated Care Support Specialist to join our compassionate and collaborative team. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to patients undergoing various endoscopic procedures.
We offer a range of services including gastroscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, cystoscopy, hysteroscopy, and urodynamic assessments. Additionally, we conduct phlebotomy, pre-assessment, and outpatient services related to these specialties.

The Endoscopy Care Support Specialists play a vital role in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, delivering personalized patient care while ensuring efficient service to referring healthcare providers.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity.
Work Schedule:
Shifts are organized on a rota basis from Monday to Friday, with hours from 07:30 to 18:30 for three days, plus one additional 6-hour shift either in the morning or afternoon to meet service requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Care Support Specialist, you will collaborate with the healthcare team to provide exceptional patient-centered care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization within the department.
- Assisting with inventory management and equipment checks before and after procedures.
- Leading outpatient clinics in conjunction with the consulting team.
- Supporting patient admissions and recovery processes.
- Preparing clinical areas for procedures to ensure seamless operations.
It is essential to stay updated with best practices, maintain core competencies, and continuously develop skills relevant to endoscopic care. You will also be responsible for accurate record-keeping in accordance with organizational policies.
About Us:
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a clinical or hospital setting and may have completed NVQ Level 1 & 2 in Health and Social Care or an equivalent qualification.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial as you will interact with various departments and communicate with patients and their families.
