HVAC Project Manager

Location: St Helens - Hybrid Role

Employment Type: Permanent Full Time

Salary: £55,000 plus vehicle allowance and 10% performance bonus, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

We are collaborating with a distinguished facilities management contractor recognized for their exceptional reputation in the industry, providing comprehensive building maintenance services across the commercial sector.

As part of our expansion efforts, we are seeking a skilled HVAC Project Manager to enhance our team in the North West region.

Role Overview:
This position offers a hybrid work model, requiring 1 to 2 days at the office in St Helens, with the remainder of the time spent visiting client sites or working remotely. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Leading, developing, and inspiring a team of Mechanical Trades to successfully execute HVAC projects within designated timelines and budgets, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Contributing to the growth of both existing and new client relationships to facilitate the expansion of the HVAC division into new geographical areas, with experience in the Retail, Commercial, and Industrial sectors.
  • Conducting site assessments and preparing detailed quotes for project work in line with surveying and procurement protocols.
  • Overseeing project execution and asset replacement initiatives from initial survey through to handover, including project scheduling, workforce planning, health and safety documentation, risk assessments, method statements, waste management, and cost estimation.
  • Ensuring adherence to relevant health and safety regulations and company HSE management systems, while guaranteeing that all team members are adequately trained and comply with safe working practices.
  • Maintaining continuous communication with the Quantity Surveyor to ensure project adjustments and expenditures remain within budget and comply with administrative guidelines.
  • Assisting in the preparation of quotations based on site evaluations and client-specific requirements.
  • Providing design solutions for smaller projects based on site assessments and client specifications.
Candidate Profile:
  • A minimum of 5 years of management experience in an HVAC setting, demonstrating strong organizational skills under high workload conditions. The ideal candidate will be positive, competent, personable, and possess excellent communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Relevant mechanical/HVAC qualifications, along with F Gas certification, and proven experience in the HVAC sector.
Compensation Package:
  • Base salary of £55,000
