Cyber Security Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Architect to join our shared services IT division in Peterborough. As a Cyber Security Architect, you will play a critical role in crafting and guiding the development of secure systems, staying on top of emerging threats, and translating complex security measures into clear instructions for both technical and non-technical teams.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct threat assessments of IT solution design and determine the cybersecurity risk associated with the solution.
- Design cybersecurity controls to mitigate cybersecurity risks.
- Review IT and cybersecurity control changes.
- Assess emerging risks and prepare solutions to mitigate such risks.
- Conduct periodic audits of cybersecurity control architecture.
- Develop cybersecurity policies to meet business objectives.
- Develop cybersecurity standards or NFRs (non-functional requirements).
- Threat assess new and existing deployments using industry standards and help in adversary emulation using the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
- Provide inputs for crisis management plans and ISMS (information security management systems).
- Participate in cybersecurity drills and review cybersecurity SOPs/process documentation.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Information Systems Management, or equivalent area.
- Appropriate certificates such as CISSP or CISM.
- A proven background in a similar Cyber Security Architect role.
- A good knowledge of the NIST Cyber Security Framework.
- Familiarity with NCSC Cyber Security guidance.
- A good understanding of data privacy regulations such as GDPR, PCI-DSS.
- A good understanding of IT security controls.
