Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Architect to join our shared services IT division in Peterborough. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing secure systems, staying ahead of emerging threats, and translating complex security measures into clear instructions for technical and non-technical teams.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct threat assessments of IT solution designs and determine cybersecurity risks associated with solutions.
- Design cybersecurity controls to mitigate cybersecurity risks.
- Review IT and cybersecurity control changes.
- Assess emerging risks and prepare solutions to mitigate such risks.
- Conduct periodic audits of cybersecurity control architectures.
- Develop cybersecurity policies to meet business objectives.
- Develop cybersecurity standards or NFRs (non-functional requirements).
- Threat assess new and existing deployments using industry standards and help in adversary emulation using MITRE ATT&CK framework.
- Provide inputs for crisis management plans and ISMS (information security management systems).
- Participate in cybersecurity drills and review cybersecurity SOPs/process documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Information Systems Management, or equivalent area, with appropriate certifications such as CISSP or CISM.
- Proven background in a similar Cyber Security Architect role.
- Good knowledge of Cyber Architect principles.
- Good knowledge of NIST Cyber Security Framework.
- Familiarity with NCSC Cyber Security guidance.
- Good understanding of data privacy regulations such as GDPR, PCI-DSS.
- Good understanding of IT security controls.
- Good knowledge of security tools and technologies such as Firewall, WAF, SIEM, PAM, Cryptography, and others.
- Proven experience performing security control assessments using established industry frameworks such as ISO 27001, COBIT, NIST.
- Experience of developing and maintaining productive relationships through individual contacts and group meetings.
- Excellent knowledge of adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) and MITRE ATT&CK Framework.
- Ability to work with key stakeholders, mentor, and provide guidance on cloud security.
