We have a comprehensive onboarding process designed to equip new hires with the necessary skills and knowledge. During your initial training, you will have the opportunity to shadow an experienced team member.

This experience will help you acclimate to your new role and foster relationships within your team.

Your colleagues and management will support you throughout your induction, assisting you in applying your training effectively and addressing any queries you may have.

From day one, you will begin to build a supportive network, including your management team and fellow colleagues.

Your responsibilities will involve working closely with clients in their homes, assisting them with their daily routines.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Administering enteral feeds
  • Managing medication
  • Providing non-invasive ventilation
  • Ensuring compliance with paediatric nursing standards

Support and Development:
Working as a caregiver at Sonderwell goes beyond just providing care; it requires building trust with clients and their families.

If you possess a compassionate nature and relevant experience, we offer comprehensive training in specific complex care needs, along with opportunities to pursue a relevant NVQ.

Depending on client needs, you may work independently or as part of a team. If you have the capacity, you may also support multiple clients.

Before commencing your role, you will have the chance to meet your client and their family, ensuring a smooth transition into your new position.

Throughout your work, you will receive continuous support from a Care Coordinator or Nurse Manager, who will be available to assist with any questions.

Additionally, you will have access to our 'Carer App', a valuable resource for insights and information to enhance your experience in this rewarding role.
