We are offering a fixed-term opportunity for a Vascular Care Nursing Associate within our esteemed healthcare organization.
The vascular service operates under a Hub and Spoke model, collaborating with various hospitals as part of a regional vascular network.
Role ResponsibilitiesThe Nursing Associate will provide holistic, patient-centered care across diverse settings for individuals of all ages (excluding pediatric care). This role involves:
- Delivering compassionate and effective care in Vascular Clinics and during ward rounds.
- Supporting senior Vascular Nurses by assisting with dressing applications and removals.
- Facilitating patient administration tasks within the Vascular nursing team.
- Demonstrating flexibility in addressing patient needs and responding appropriately within the scope of practice.
- Providing basic patient education and distributing informational materials as needed.
- Applying compression bandages under the guidance of a Senior Vascular Team member once trained.
- Ensuring safe admission and post-procedure care for patients undergoing local anaesthetic day case procedures, including discharging patients with appropriate instructions.
- Contributing to ongoing patient assessments and recognizing when to escalate concerns to a Registered Nurse.
