About the Role

The Director of Operations and Service Delivery plays a pivotal role in leading all member-facing services and operations at Headway East London. This position ensures the effective delivery, quality, and consistency of services, guided by the principles of co-production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic guidance to service leads for all member-facing services, as well as the administration and premises team, to ensure efficient delivery and quality of services.
  • Business Planning and Development: Oversee the development of plans and strategies for each team, fostering a sense of collaboration, common goals, and working together across departments to ensure the sustainability of services.
  • Financial Management: Oversee all budgets within the departments, ensuring financial sustainability and responsible management of resources.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with stakeholders in the boroughs served, developing opportunities for growth and development of services.
  • Commissioning and Contracting: Lead on commissioning, tender, and framework contracting arrangements with local authorities.
  • Safeguarding and Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and legislation, leading on safeguarding and health and safety matters.
  • Member-Centric Approach: Work with staff to ensure members' voices are at the centre of everything done.
  • Financial Recovery: Work with the Finance team to ensure unit costs are correct and strive to recover full costs of services from customers.
  • Business Development: Support teams and work with the Director of Development and Fundraising to explore new opportunities to develop the business and generate income.
