2nd Line Support Engineer

VIQU Limited is a prominent player in the financial services sector, committed to providing exceptional solutions to its clientele. We are currently in the midst of a significant domain migration due to a recent merger and are in search of a proficient 2nd Line Support Engineer to assist in this transition. Your role will involve collaborating with users in the financial industry, aiding them in configuring their laptops within the new domain, ensuring a smooth transition, and delivering ongoing support after the migration.

The ideal candidate for the 2nd Line Support Engineer position will possess experience in a merger environment and a background in supporting tenant-tenant/domain migrations in previous roles.

This position requires the 2nd Line Support Engineer to be present onsite throughout the workweek.

Key Responsibilities for the 2nd Line Support Engineer include:

  • Windows 10/11: Administration and Support
  • Office 365: Administration and Support
  • Active Directory: Proficient experience
  • User Setup:
    • Assist users in configuring their laptops within the new domain.
    • Ensure the accurate migration of all user settings, applications, and data.
    • Provide detailed guidance and support to users during the transition.
  • Continuous Support:
    • Deliver ongoing technical assistance after users have logged into the new domain.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve any post-migration issues related to connectivity, application access, or user profiles.
    • Work in collaboration with 3rd line support and other IT teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.
  • Documentation & Training:
    • Maintain comprehensive records of user interactions and issues resolved.
    • Create and update user guides and documentation to facilitate the transition process.
    • Conduct training sessions for users to familiarize them with the new domain environment.

This role is focused on providing 5 days of onsite support.
