Position: Underwriter for Terrorism and Political Violence

We are seeking a dedicated Underwriter specializing in Terrorism and Political Violence to join our dynamic team.

The primary objective of this role is to enhance the ongoing expansion of the Terrorism and Political Violence division. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Underwriting current renewal accounts and addressing broker inquiries effectively.
  • Participating in renewal discussions, broker training sessions, and various business development initiatives to foster product line growth.
  • Collaborating closely with business development managers to support broker inquiries and cultivate new business opportunities.
  • Engaging with underwriters across different business lines to optimize cross-selling prospects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the growth and profitability of the Terrorism and Political Violence business through targeted distribution and marketing efforts.
  • Underwrite a balanced portfolio of business to support revenue, profitability, and growth objectives.
  • Maximize cross-selling and up-selling opportunities within the organization through strategic internal marketing and relationship management.
  • Build and maintain essential relationships with external producers.

This position is ideal for a motivated, confident, and adaptable individual. Key qualifications include:

  • Proven experience in underwriting Terrorism and Political Violence.
  • Background in business development or a willingness to develop in this area.
  • Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and business needs.
  • Strong team player with a talent for quickly establishing relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • ACII qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A Levels or equivalent education.
